Interaction between populations - examples
Two different populations or individuals belonging to different species that live together in a particular area may (but not necessarily) interact in different ways.
Depending on the nature of these interactions, we can distinguish:
• Non-antagonistic interactions are a type of interaction in which none of the interacting parties suffers losses.;
Antagonistic interactions are a type of interaction in which at least one of the interacting parties takes damage.;
• without impact - the population (individuals) living in a common area does not interact in any way;
The ecosystem concept was introduced by Arthur Tansley in 1935. He defined it as an ecological unit consisting of all plants and animals inhabiting a given territory, including the physical and chemical environment in which these organisms live and with which they are connected in various ways.
Today, an ecosystem is defined as an integrated dynamic ecological system that, together with a biotope, forms a biocenosis.
Biocenosis of forest ecosystems
A biocenosis is an animate element of the environment, that is, all organisms inhabiting a certain territory.
Biotope - inanimate (abiotic) elements of the environment, which include: water, soil, relief, sunlight, climate, etc.
Ecosystem = biocenosis + biotope
Ecosystem separation
We can divide ecosystems into:
• artificial ecosystems, that is, those that were created with human participation (for example, a pond);
• natural ecosystems, that is, those created by the forces of nature without human intervention (for example, a natural lake, forest);
The one origin model (the "farewell to Africa" hypothesis, Noah's Ark) - according to this hypothesis, Homo sapiens originated in Africa as a result of speciation that occurred within the same founding population. The colonization of Asia and Europe by hominids at varying degrees of evolutionary development was gradual. In the new area, hominids evolved independently of the main field, which led to the emergence of local strains. Homo sapiens was the last to leave Africa, displacing all remaining hominid populations.
Individual ecosystems are diverse, and their spatial structure is similar. Producers always occupy the highest parts of the ecosystem (for example, in the thickets of the forest), because here they have the best access to light. The lowest parts of the ecosystem (for example, the bottom of a lake), where dead organic matter (detritus) accumulates, are occupied by destructors. The spatial distribution of the ecosystem is easy to observe in the sea and in the lake. The promo code for 1xbet functions identically to the web version but is optimized for mobile users.
